The crowds always come out to play when HPT visits Colorado, home to some of the largest prize pool in the tour's history. There's been three HPT's per season in Black Hawk in recent years - a $1,650 in February, an $1,100 in July and this September stop.
Austin Peck won the July $1,100 732-entry event for a $156k cash, with the current Player of the Year leader, Nick Pupillo, the February champ here, defeating a 588-entry field in the February $1,650 for a $194k score.
Players this weekend open with 30,000 stacks and play 15 40-minute levels on today's Day 1A, tomorrow's Day1B and Saturday's Day 1C (all noon starts), reaching the Bag-n-Tag at about 11:45pm.
Sunday's Day 2 Restart is at 11am, playing down to the 10-handed final table, with the Monday livestream Final Table scheduled for a noon start.

The $1,100 Main Event from The Meadows Racetrack and Casino just outside of Pittsburgh is underway. This tournament features two starting flights. Flight A is Friday at 2pm and Flight B is Saturday at noon. Day 2 will take place Sunday at 11am and the tournament will conclude with a televised final table on Monday at noon.Read more
