The opening $350 NLH event at Hollywood Casino St. Louis drew 1,283 total entries over the weekend, a new record for largest poker tournament ever in the state of Missouri. That created a $384,900 prize pool, nearly quadrupling the $100,000 guarantee.
There were 130 players who made it through their respective fields for Day 2 action on Sunday. Each of them was guaranteed $715 for their efforts. First place was scheduled to take home $60,327. In the end, the final six players agreed to a chop with local man Craig Welko taking home the biggest prize, $37,402.

The Heartland Poker Tour $1,650 Main Event kicks off with the first of three starting flights Thursday at 2pm. Flights B and C are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, both noon starts.
