Tournament Director Jeremy Smith has put cards in the air for the first of three starting flights in the $500,000 Guaranteed $1,650 Main Event at Hollywood St. Louis.
Players open with a 30,000 stack and play 40-minute levels on their Day 1 flight. Registration and the unlimited-entry period is available until the start of Level 10 a few minutes after 9:30pm. There's a hour-long dinner break at the end of Level 9 at about 8:30pm.
Play is scheduled for a full 15 40-minute levels, with play ending just before 2am. The HardStop is at 13% of the field, not likely but a possibility. Players with chips at the end of play tonight bag up their stacks to return Sunday at 11am for the Day 2 Restart, playing down to the 9-handed final table.
Final table play - livestreamed on a 30-minute delay on twitch.tv/hptpoker - is set to begin Monday at noon.
There's two additional starting flights - a 2pm start tomorrow and a noon start on Saturday. This is a Best Stack Forward tournament so players can enter all flights, only moving forward their biggest stack.
